Itärajan Helmi offers a simple way of life in the Finnish countryside, where you can stay in a traditional Finnish cabin without electricity, with a view of the lake. For those seeking a bit more exoticism, you can also stay in a Tentsile tree tent or a glamping tent.
Bed linens and towels are included in the price. There is a biological outdoor toilet near the cabins and an indoor toilet in the main building.
In the mornings and evenings, there is a traditional Finnish wood-heated sauna available. There are two saunas, one located between the main building and the cabins, and the other by the lake about 600 meters away. The sauna on the hill also has a hot tub, and if you wish to take a dip in the refreshing waters of Lake Tohmajärvi, you can do so at the lakeside. Ask about the possibility of a sauna raft cruise!
Meals are served in a well-equipped summer kitchen located near the main building and the cabins, which also serves as a place for leisure and a cozy living room. During meals, you will enjoy freshly baked bread rolls and pastries made by the hostess herself, as well as local and locally produced delicacies. The food is always fresh and lovingly prepared from the produce of their own land.
